THE TAPE PROJECT
All over London lie discarded music cassettes, chucked from passing cars or just left out with the rubbish. Myself and Claire Baker were intrigued by all this tape, blowing and twisting in the wind, as if trying to attract somebody’s attention.
Having photographed the tapes in their found environment, we then gathered up all the tape, spliced it together and wound it onto a spool to create a mix tape of all the different sounds which London threw away.
